This is my interview today on Fault Lines  with Garland Nixon and Lee Stranahan. I took the open letter in Time that William Browder wrote to President Trump before his meeting with Russian President Putin and simply transposed it, here. I sent President Trump a twitter message linking him to this altered missive.

For example, Putin values money far more than human life became Browder values money far more than human life.

Proof of that, during the year his accountant Sergei Magnitsky was in Russian pre-trial detention for Browder’s Hermitage Fund tax evasion, he could have been released at any time had Browder only paid his back taxes, then about $40 million.

Mr. President, the only way to deal with a person like William Browder is to contain him, not to engage him. He will lie to you, flatter you, trick you and betray you. The only message you can give him is that America will not let itself be deceived any longer, that it can and will stop him. Of course, Browder was talking about containing Putin. Amazing how well the thought works with Browder as the object. (No, I didn’t get a twitter reply!)
